It is more than a walk.  Yet, a walk it is.

I am now a dual Pilgrim.   Were my mom still alive, she would have a laugh, me, a Pilgrim!  A laugh of knowing, yes, this makes sense.

Are we not all Pilgrims in some way, searching, seeking truth?

Some may believe it is too late for that.  I am a soul that relates to wonder and knowing that we are way more than our thoughts, more than how we define our “lives”, that we possess incredible potential.

A truth I hold deep inside that resonates my soul’s vibration.  The inner journey. Open to discovery, to notice, the entirety of Being.

As I am walking each of these Pilgrimages with the Walking Mentorship, there are certain aspects not found on other versions. There are three “pillars”: Walking, Nature, Mentorship that each play a role, the foundation of Walking Mentorship’s way.

Walking. A primordial movement, embedded in human DNA offers a pace that fits, feels right.  It matches the rate and pace of our ancestral lineage, of 2 million years on the earth. This is the pace we are meant to go.  Instead of fast cars, planes, and speedy multi-tasking social media-fied ways, we are, by engaging in this activity, finding a way to slowing down. Walking for some hours, the hurry changes.

There is time for everything becomes the mantra. Slowing down is the first of the “four moments”. How do I feel?  What is calling?  What is pressing?  I may then be onto it, my focus question for the walk. We have a journal called the Survival Kit that leads each of us through as part of the journey.

Next, being in nature. Nature is a healing force. Just read The Nature Fix by Florence Williams and discover how deeply nature is to restore to the core, having powerful attributes that re-align an ill-at-ease existence. It too is part of the process. Nature in stillness, in cacophony, the way animals and plants interact.

Abundance. Beauty. Golden ratio. Perfection in the imperfection.  Spontaneity.  Aliveness.  All of this, we become part of.  The next of the four moments:  reconnect.

Here is day two or three of the walk.  And from here, we have perhaps arrived, to ourselves.

To be continued …
